Riiddle me this. LOL alright i have this buddy with and STI. Has cat back exhaust and cold air intake. and he says its chipped to hell. So he tells me this story about hwo he raced 6.0 GTO and was beating him by like 5 car length until about 180 and he said that the gto finally got passed him!! What a crock of ****. He tells me that he can beat me anyways. Anyway i want to race him he said he would walk me. I haven't raced any STI's but i def. think this guys is one of those people who talks up the car WAY TOO MUCH. He thinks he can get me on the high way by a long shoot. Any input. Mods listed in sig.
pretty sure that is all he has done to it. My buddy has a 98 camaro z28 with short tubes, exhaust and a B & M quick shift in it and he says when he takes off he has to play catch up. He makes it sound like its a little togyh for him to catch up.
STI's can be a handful from a dig unless your car is set up right. From a roll it's anyone's guess. He's doesn't appear to be heavily modded and you aren't either. You should get him, but there's only one way to find out.

On the highway would be the way to do it unless like said earlier he dont know how to lauch the car! They are quick, my friend ran 13.1 with jus exhaust I BELIEVE, but there is only one way to find out just line them up!
if both cars arent modded much you will get him on the interstate. They run good time cause they are AWD. They can have a hell of a launch. Race him on the highway and you'll probably get him

I've played with WRX's and STI's on the Mexican interstate with my V6 Camaro. Both were stock so I wasn't impressed with them at all.

haha he says he doesn't know sonnick. we will see. he doesn't get back until maypril so. and i cant' dump the money i wanted to now because me and the fiance are buying a house. yeah i can't believe how he got it so fast to.
It's kinda funny. The only really fast WRX/STI types I have ever seen were almost the Anti-Rice. They never said a word to anyone, ran great numbers, and disappeared. Every single one that I have seen talking **** ran like cold syrup. I suppose that happens a lot with every type of car.
