Picked up a 86 Iroc..trans is shot..The guy I got it from bought the car with no motor. I was told the motor he had put in was out of a 86 GMC pick up. I check the numbers on the block and the stamp up front on the block. Build date was April 1973 and the suffix code says the block came in 1974 (350) police cars or 1980 camaro's.(305). The question is how miles is on this bitch and if its worth keeping and rebuilding it?

Nope. They put a carb on it and did a crappy job on the wiring. They put a oil pressure and temp gauge under the dash.

Mike what is the status on your car man? Seems like it's been forever since I've seen that thing.

Stg 1 build is $1000. Stg 2 is $1400. We don't just pull apart and install 1 thing or another. If we build a trans, we do the entire unit. It's a lot less hassle/headache later on.

What's holding yours up I thought you were suppose to get it back weeks ago. I just have to replace a crank seal and get her tuned and I should be good to go. I think we should have at least 4 cars but start asking around I'd like to convoy there.
