Went to the track in Phenix City today.....It's been like 5 or 6 years since I've been out there. Needless to say, it sucked, just like it did all those years ago lol. There were a couple of LS powered vehicles out there though. A white T/A with dealer tags, and a red G8. Besides those, the fastest car out there was a blown GT.....which wasn't very fast either haha. But I left at 8, so I'm not sure if it got any better out there or not.

 

How far is Columbus from Jesup, Ill put on some pipes and a alternator and head up one weekend

 

Its about 3-4 hours from Jesup I believe. You might want to pack a lunch.

 

I need to come out there one Tuesday night with my Chevelle, I just don't know how well it will do on radials.

 

Heck down in Nichols they have DMP and they started doing street drags on sundays, should get all the guys to go down there one day.

Did anyone got to the swap meet in Perry today? I missed it, but I did sell my LT1 SS hood (aftermarket) and bought a '98 Z28 rolling chassis.

So Where are all the F-Body's at in the Valdosta area?

 

I've been out there a couple times since they opened up on Tuesday nights for $5. It wasn't a bad showing most of those Tuesdays until it got cold. Yeah, mostly tuners showed, but there were a few muscle cars besides myself. Haven't been there in about four months, though. It's pretty crowded with the pro mods on Sundays still.

 

I would like to go one Tuesday night to see what it is all about.

 

Its not a bad deal. $5 gets you in and you can race, watch or hang out as much as you want. It's like a lights out grudge match type set up where the Tree is not used and not all the lights are on. Guys run on their own, use the honk or red/green light that's there, and sometimes will roll through the start if they'd rather run from like a 10-20mph roll. Not sure if they're still doing it Tuesdays during the cold, but I'll find out because I've been meaning to go back out there. Something to do.
