Yeah I remember MTI as Motorsport Technologies Inc from Houston from back in the day... I thought they were still open as they had more than a few nice LT1/LS1's from there, but hadn't heard much from them...
Is the MTI from Marietta any relation to MTI from Houston?????
Either way the vette murdered it out there.... I liked the HOTSHOE driver merc'n everyone on the arm drop.... Great to see a latemodel spank some Pinks All Out ***.... If you didn't have that vette off the line you were done once the aerodynamics kicked in... Those dinosaur old schools are about as aerodynamic as aluminum siding....

Yep...the kid that drives that vette is a friggin machine. I saw him at the Memphis track cut five runs with a reaction time no higher than a .058 and his runs were all within 1/2 tenth of each other.

Who was that? I saw the Vengeance sticker on the windshield and since it was a 10.30 GTO, I figured it must be someone close with the shop.

As for the GTO jumping.... well theres alot more to the story. Sadly, the arm drop showed on TV last night isnt the arm drop that is on my camcorder from the event......

I will say that Jan (driver/owner of the GTO) is damn sharp on the tree with his over 50 yrs of drag racing. The arm drop was DEFINATELY not the same arm drop that I have on tape. Not to mention the 30 second conversation Rich had with the driver of the truck before he dropped them..... Either way, no worries. It was NICE to see a late model car win the show, but I personally thought the truck/GTO/Vette shouldnt have faced each other till the end. As Rich said though.... Its a TV show, not a race

I watched the show and I told my buddies "hey man I've seen that car(the gto) in person!" haha that was pretty cool. I also drove past Andretti's tonight and saw the MTI vette on display inside if anyone around wants to check it out, I don't know how much longer it will be there though.
