Angry Blew it up today

So i was runnin down the road today... and long story short i was runnin about 3500 rpm and all of the sudden i heard a big boom and heard parts of my motor hittin the ground. i shut her down due to a huge cloud of smoke and loud noises and coasted to a stop. i knew it was gonna be bad. i walked back up the road and there was oil all down it and half of a piston in the middle of the road. i have a huge hole right above my starter and a smaller hole on the otherside about the same distance back. its pretty bad cause i cant even budge my dipstick and i can see straight to my cam. i guess the only thing to do is go bigger and better with it now, but im gonna pull the motor out on monday to see what kind of paper weights and goodies i can find in the oil pan. my engine mods are full bolt ons, MS4, prc stage 1 ls6 heads, and of course... stock bottom end.

Default Sorry to hear that

I just wanted to let you know i feel your pain i blew mine up about a month ago after having it back for about three weeks after getting it back from the paint booth. it leaned out the number 5 cylinder which in turn blew the head gasket. of course this put an *** of water in the cylinders and everything else, but it had a 170k miles on it so i wasnt too discouraged it just means that the future is looking brighter for the 2000 B4C camaro. should have the motor back wednesday stronger than ever. just dont half step when you build the motor to go into yours. do what you have always planned to do with it no matter if you have to wait to save a little more money to get exactly what you want because you will be much more pleased when you get it in. good luck to you

Half-assed = half-fast.

I saw that in a quote..

The only thing I was racing was the clock...traffic sucks along that road in the mornings. Did you have any mufflers on your dumps? It sounded good down low but not so much when you revved it real high.
