looking to move to Charolette NC Hey there, just wondering, hows the cruise nites, and car shows, how often and where are they located in the Charolotte area? Also what is the better area to live with low crime, good schools, lower prices on houses and things to do? Looking to visit in the next few weeks to check it out for the 1st time.
Any help would be great.

I just moved here 3 weeks ago, what it seems is theres always some type of car gathering someone in a town within a 30 min drive. Ive learned cheaper houses are north of charollte on 77 up near statesville and north. New housing develpment near me in statesville, 3,600sqt foot house, 4bdr, 3 bath, 2 car garage for $170,000
I moved here from the Chicago area about 3 years ago and love it. It's the South, everyone is nice! Tons of car stuff to do. I live 5 miles from Lowe's Motor Speedway and it is awesome. Plus they just had an open house for the new zMax drag strip right across the street from LMS.
Our Charlotte F-body Club has a cruise-in every 2nd and 4th Saturday at Sonic in Harrisburg, NC.

IMO stay out of Charlotte. Concord/Harrisburg/Kannapolis/Huntersville/Davidson are the "cleaner" areas when you get near the speedway. Charlotte can be sketchy in places. Closer you get to the lake though, the more expensive and busier it gets.
