95 Comp T/A value?

95 Comp T/A value? Friend of mine was recently divorced and could use some cash so he's going to sell his baby. He owns a 95 comp T/A hard top, one of the first 10 made, 6m, the stock tires and also the racing tires still in plastic. It has around 8k miles on it and of course its been garaged kept. What would be a good price for him to ask?
The car only has 8,000 mles on it right? What SLP options did it come with? Being a hardtop I'm guessing it has the Bilstein suspension? Hurst shifter? SLP TOTL exhaust? Car Cover? Comp TA floor mats? Comp TA numbered Key fobs?
If this car truely has only 8000 miles and looks the part, I'd say at minimum $16,000 and max low 20s'. Problem is, it's an LT1 which is getting beat up right now in the used car market by the pricing dropping LS1s. Another thing is the Comp T/A is not as well known as SS or WS6. Firehawks suffer from this and I can only imagine the Comp having an even harder time. However, the person looking for a showroom condition Comp T/A that has the funds to buy would snap this up in a heart beat as it's the perfect collector Comp T/A being one of the first, probably fully loaded with SLP content, a 6 speed, and ultra low miles.
If it were mine I'd put it on eBay for maximum exposure with a $20,000 buy it now with a reserve of $18,000 and see what happens. Even this the economy the way it is, I can't see this car selling for any less than $16,000.

I am not sure of the options and the car is 1k miles from me so I cant help verify everything you have asked. From memory it has the hurst shifter, key fobs, car cover, floor mats, street tires and racing rims and tires. I'll try and call him. I am sure he has all the accessories that came with the car. They bought 2 of them The one his ex has only has 800 miles on it but its an A4. Thats not a mistype it really has 800 miles. I think she may be selling hers shortly also. I wish I was in a position to buy them both.

The paperork and documentation are vital for this sale if he wants top $$. With such low miles I would be quite surprised if he does not have everything. I agree about ebay being a good start and I would strongly suggest Hemmings as well with such an unusual car. My collector car neighbor just sold two nice rides within the past month on Hemmings, and at a fair realistic price, not discounted whatsoever. The economy does not seem to be affecting true MINT collector cars. Pricing could be tough however in this instance. A 1995 is really not quite at that nice collector age, but it will be pretty soon. A smart buyer will pick it up at the right price but I'm not sure it will fetch $20k at this time. I would never sell it for less than $14k unless he absolutely must. That would be a shame and a real steal for someone.

Did he and his wife take those cars to the TA Nats afew years ago? I remember a pair of them at the show.
Rarely do they take them out anymore, let alone to the track. He was actually thinking of selling his or both since they just sit all the time.
