Have a 2000 Chevy 1500 it has a 2.3 Whipple supercharger big boar. Just built the hole rear end new Detroit lockers 4.10 gears from richmen. And a new flt 4l60e tranny only 2 weeks old with new 3000 yank stall. I was just driving about 60 mph and I hit it I felt vibrating and about 4 seconds later BOOOOM there it went I stopped and looked my drive shaft was in two peaces and springs was all over the place and the tail shaft housing was in a 1,000 peaces. What happend? And will flt cover my tranny I just got it I hate to say this but if the don't I'm not buying anything from them anymore. This was the first thing I ever got from them and all iv was good about them and there trannys but I guess I got a bad one.

 

Sounds to me like the transmission wasnt properly broken in.

 

It was broke in by flt and I drove it for 800 miles b4 getting on it atdumall. Found out today that the bell housing is cracked to.

Ya me to I talked to finish line transmission and there trying to say that its cuz of drive shaft failer and I haven't even sent it back to them yet so I know there going to not warranty it even though its only a fue weeks old I've never ever seen a tranny do this b4
