I have '96 SS #2239. Polo Green T-Top D82 car. Mostly stock but has '98 SS wheels, with the '96 wheels sitting on a shelf. Shorty headers into stock cats. It left SLP in July '96, so it's a pretty late model. The air cleaner says Camaro SS instead of Z28 SS, which always kind of bothered me.... I now attribute it to the late conversion date
My 96 SS was the same color as yours. I loved it. The number on mine was #1350. Beautiful ride!

Nice looking car as I can honestly say I have never seen a polo green in person I would sure love too though. The monocramitic option in my opinion ads so many options to the look of these cars.
Regarding the air cleaner interesting enough I have seen a handful of early model 97 SS cars sporting Z28SS air cleaners which comes off to me that maybe when SLP ordered stock of the newer CamaroSS lid they just comingled them with the others and pulled at random.
Number 1260 Polo Green HT w/ Tan interior is up for sale at a good price for the condition its in (i.e. 70K miles). Not sure the likelihood someone who is looking stops in here but figured it was worth posting. Asking price is listed as $5500.
Car is also listed on the SLP Regristry from a prior sale but some good pictures and package information. Shame the registry seems to have died wish it would have kept up like the Firehawk one seems to.
So I bought car #1326 a little over a year ago. She's got a well built 383 stroker, but came with a bad transmission. I've put a lot of time and $$$ into the car, but still have a little more that needs to be taken care of. I put a new transmission, clutch, tires, and exhaust system on it. I still need to find another SS hood and then get a fresh paint job on her. But she does run like a summa bitch! I'll get some better/cleaner pics posted soon.
I love SS Camaros with a passion! I want to have one, but I will butcher it and for some reason I dont think that's right. I'll have a clone with all the mods I like. I just got bought 2 real SS hoods for my Z28. It's like catching two unicorns. Lol
