NHRA 02 convert
was wondering if anyone can help me find out how many pewter convertibles se Nhras transam a4 were made in 2002 and how to find out what number mine was made off the line that year?
Total 2002 T/A Verts: 2236* (*this number does not agree with and is smaller than other sources - 3694, so there are some units missing from C/N's database, making the following #s on the low side).
- 261 of those had 11U - Pewter Metallic
- 32 of those had 1SH NHRA Edition
- 1379 of those had A4
- 1629 of those had WS6
If your car has WS6 the breakdown is more detailed:
- 102 of those 1629 had 11U - Pewter Metallic (48 M6, 54 A4)
- 0 had 1SH NHRA Edition
The NHRA option package was installed by GM and was not part of the WS6 package installation that ASC performed, therefore no sequence data was established for 1SH. Only WS6s were assigned a conversion # by ASC (CETAs were numbered separately from WS6s in '02, as were the 30ths in '99).
Keep in mind that the only equipment included in 1SH besides badges was the 3.23 rear gear option in A4 equipped cars. Thus it is possible that a "dealer-installed" NHRA package could exist if the car was properly equipped like a car w/ 1SH (this is not unheard-of; "NHRA Package" without the 1SH RPO). 1SH was not available on a car w/ WS6 from the factory.
