Default Help with a 1998 - 2000

I have a quick question on the LS1 Camaro SS. I was wondering how well of a daily driver are these cars actually?? I am coming from a 1994 Corvette LT1. I love it but the car is nightmare to keep up with. So many things break which make it a real high maint. car. Is this the same with the SS. I really like the SS. Thanks for any help or advice.

Well I live in Southern California and I plan on buying an SS with 10k to 50k miles on it and a 6 speed. I really don't race anymore since they closed down our track, but I do drive some what hard. . I drive about 1000 to 1200 miles a month and do my oil changes every 2500 miles and I always use mobile 1 syn. Thanks for the info

I cannot see why you would have any problems.

Keeping it maintained is key. This is my 2nd 4th gen Bird and neither of them have had any problems that I would consider outside of normal wear and tear.

Well, I have a 2000 SS as my daily driver. I drive upwards of 150 miles almost every day, and that's with this wonderful Chicagoland weather. I also beat on it roughly 149 of those miles. I love my SS as a daily driver, no problems at all. Like everyone says though, like any car, just make sure you keep it maintained well.
