I am not an expert on this, but I saw one of these with my own eyes. A local guy around here has one of these. It is an 02 and is red. He claims that all Blackbirds start out life as the 380 something HP car, but some were more special. His car has a plaque that says: Built exclussively for XXXXXX XXXXXXXXX by Andretti racing. He has paperwork that allowed him to take it back to Carl Black Chevrolet for an update and upgrade every 6 months of ownership.....for 3 different upgrades including dyno runs.....for a nominal fee of course. Last time I saw this car running at the dragstrip in Commerce, Ga....It was pushing over 500HP at the wheels, sounded better than any other LS car I've ever heard, and was tearing out clutches still under a factory/dealer warranty. He traded it in on a new Maxima in July or Aug at a dealership in Atlanta. STRAIGHT UP I"M TOLD.
