ws6

hey im new to the ws6 and i was wondering whats the difference between the ws6 and the regular trans am besides the ram air??? thanks in advance

What he said. Only things I'll add is the "upgraded suspension" wasn't so "upgraded" after Nov '99 (or was it '00?) build dates. Also, the WS6 hood allowed for a WS6-unique raised lower airbox that allows more air to get to the filter. And IIRC, the P/S cooler became standard on all V8 f-bods in the later years ('01+??).

I don't know the nitty-gritty, it has been posted years ago on LS1.com. But essentially, up until that Nov '99 (it might have been '00, my memory is fuzzy here), WS6 production cars included WS6 specific shocks, springs, sway bars, bushings, trans mount (??), etc. that were not included on non-WS6 birds (and of course, 17" rims). After that time the only difference between WS6 and non-WS6 suspensions were a bushing or two and maybe shocks. I could be wrong here on the details so someone please correct me if I'm wrong. Bottom line, after that time WS6's "upgraded suspension" wasn't nearly as "upgraded" over the base T/A as the earlier WS6s were.
