Some people prefer to buy hawks with as few of miles as they can get. I bought mine in June 05 with 325 miles on it. I only wanted the car with mileage under 25,000 and unmodded. I now have 7,000. I did not buy it to store it in a building. I only drive it when it is not raining or snowing. So when it is nice, I ride. I would not say that it is bad to have 40,000, If you bought the car to drive then enjoy it and drive it. If you bought it to re sale it , then you have high miles. So did you buy it to enjoy or did you buy it to just park it and try to re sale it later?

Its average, the average american drives 15,000 miles a year and yours is around that so i think your good.

WAYYYYYYY TOO MANY MILES!

Hehe, just playing... 40k is pretty good in my book, heck under 150k is still "good". Unless you want to compare to the 1997 Hawk with 27 miles.

Wow, thats pretty good. I drive mine as much as I can. I have no intention of trying to keep the miles off. I bought it to enjoy. So since I have another 2002 transam and a work vehicle, I keep the hawk out of the bad weather, just have better things to do then cleaning on the hawk every weekend, it stays clean.

My 02 hawk is about to hit 40,000 so I'd say we're in the norm.

Who wants to stare at a car anyways? Drive the damn thing!

My '01 only had 27350 when i picked it up 1 week ago. Now it has 28,158. I can't stop driving it. If I keep this up I'll put over 42,000 miles on it in 1 year
