How would I go by getting my build number and verifying my car is an actual SS? Is it needed to call them, or is there a place I can type in my vin number?
Thanks,
Caleb

Look at the drivers side door sticker. These are the RPO codes your car came with from the factory. If WU8 is there, its a real SS.
The SLP build number means nothing.

There really should be a sticky in this section saying how to find a build number/"is it real?". This question is asked at least twice a day in here alone
Nothing against you ckingcmaro, it is just a suggestion to avoid so much clutter.
But as Sebring suggested, look on your driver's side door jam for "WU8". If that is there, it is a real SS, if not...well, you might have a problem

Well, I would look at that sticker, but my door was replaced, The guy i bought the car from wrecked it pretty nicely.. He failed to mention how much it was actually wrecked..I'm still finding things out,he was a complete asswhipe..And I bought upon impulse, my mistake unfortunate and ignorance..But, there's no stickers, most of the car is replaced, body panels..ect..
