It would say it on the passenger side door under SLP options.

It is a Blackwing lid & cat-back exhaust.

Typical OE GM Trans Am box first with the 'silencer' on it, & the next photo shows the Donaldson Blackwing set-up, ...
The Blackwing set-up improved the HP rating from the 325 to the 345. (In the books anyway, ...)

Correction, it was the combination of either the dual/dual or center exit exhaust and the lid that upped the rating to 345. You could purchase just the catback and have a rating of 335.

Car may have been involved in an accident and the passenger door was repainted, just a guess.

Yes, improved it from 335 to 345. (Not 325 to 345 as I had mentioned before.)
But I thought the cat-back came with them all anyway? I think it came with all the Firehawks anyway, maybe not all SS's.

you could call SLP and ask them the options for your car by giving them the vin number

While this is true, the info they give you may not always be correct. Even my passenger side door sticker is incorrect. They included a second sticker with the car with different options as well, lol.

My 02 SS was ordered early in the year and the 345 HP was not an option yet.

I have an 01 with the 345 hp package. As far as I know it is the only 01 car optioned as an 02 as it was formerly owned by SLP and was their advertising car.

Damn, I didn't think the hoods were supposed to match. I thought that was just a little SLP special touch. Kind of an authentication certificate.

If you are referring to the Blackwing airbox lid, it's not really 'optioned' as an '02. They simply added the Donaldson Blackwing airbox when it finally came out with the delivery of the mid-year 2002 models.

I installed one on my '01 also, simply because IMO it's the best made & best flowing lids out there, & stillretains the stock appearance.

I agree that is probably the best lid out in terms of performance, fit and stock looks. I am not sure when they installed it to be honest. I have several email communications with SLP's director of communications advising the car is listed as an 01 model but is optioned as an 02 (never really researched how but it does have every single available slp option) It was their advertising car and is still on their website now promoting their products. It was used to show dealers the complete product line and what options were available. To my knowledge SLP bought the car from GM in 2001 ( I have a copy of the title signed by Ed Hamburg) and updated later to 02 specs for advertising and promotional purposes.
