With the 2002 Firehawk with all options you get:

different hood with functional ram-air AND heat extractors
high flow air lid
SLP dual/dual exhaust
computer recalibration
Bilstein or Koni suspension
stiffer lower control arm bushings
thicker sway bar
Auburn differential (stock gear ratio)
Firehawk specific 17" rims
decals and badges, key fobs, birth certificate, deck mat, portfolio
optional IROC rear spoiler
car cover
floor mats

The full suspension level 3 with Koni shocks will cost close to $9,000 on top of the T/A price.

I may be missing a couple items but this is the basic run down ~Joshua

Here are some photos of mine:

That pic is horrible, but it does look like a hawk, Formula too, so its a little more rare. The price says Firehawk too, and 18k is too much for a 99 IMO. It could be a clone though so watch out.

Yeah I am really weary of buying a clone thats why I came here. I sent her an email and she will be sending me some more pics soon...

She also said she could go down to $16500. Which means I could probably get her down to $15000....

check for SLP door stickers which will say the options and if you really want to I believe you can call SLP with the vin and they can verify it. hope that helps.

I'd grab it even at 16,500, sounds high for a 99 f-body, but its a Firehawk, and a Formula, it'll be worth some someday

I doubt I would have the car long enough for it to become a collectible. The low miles are what attracted me to it...

I bet it is just a more aggressive tune from the factory. Probably more advanced timing.

SLP plugs in a connector to the OBD port under the dash as the car is being retrofitted and it gives a slightly hotter tune. Simple

Have her send you the GM RPO code sticker from the door & make sure it has the WU6 option listed. Then as mentioned, look for other SLP door tags.
Good Luck!
Looks like a Formula Firehawk to me, ..., But try to keep it at $16.5k or less if ya can, so it's a good buy for ya, ...

I have never heard of that before. Was it something the SS could come with also?

I read this tid-bit in an old version of GMHighTech magazine. It was right when the '99 Firehawks were coming out. I've never read it in the SLP manuals, but it doesn't seem inplausable that the article wasn't true. It doesn't take much time or effort to plug in a pre-fabbed tune. SLP is good at not spending much time or effort...at least that how their aftermarket parts go.

I'm thinking the article was bogus. I am almost certain it was not an option on my 02 SS, and this is the first I have heard about anything like this for a Firehawk as well. I don't see SLP doing it without listing it as an option and charging the customer more money.

That does make sense. You can't believe everything you read, even a magazine supposedly about GM high tech.

Maybe it was something that was supposed to be, remember this was in mid 1998 when the cars weren't even released yet. This was a look at SLP's new generation. Maybe it was one of the things that never panned out, kind of like the fixed Firehawk headlights.

i agree.

it just seems a tad unrealistic, that SLP wouldnt claim that or at least add it into there parts catalog, with all the other "uber l33t0 SLP m0dz" that they use on there glorified fbody's.

no offense of course.

Just like they were going to build at least 2000 10th Anniversary cars, ..., & ended up making 139, ...
I've never heard about the hook-up thing before, & I've followed'em since the beginning.
Not saying it didn't happen tho, ...

Going to have to agree with Pontiac Fan. I have spent alot of time talking to Dave Hamburgher @ shows and that was never mentioned.
I know the first years were tuners, but the late models kept the G.M.
tune.
