NHRA vs Non??
NHRA vs Non?? I have a 2000 nhra formula and I was just wondering if anyone new the differences. All I've heard of so far is obviously the emblems and badges, and that the formulas have a 3.23 rear end instead of a 2.73....Is this right or am I wrong?? Open to any ifo anyone has. Thanks!
Option code 1SH on the door. Comes with 3.23 axle package, key fobs, emblems, power steering cooler. Could not be ordered with WS6 or Firehawk. Only came in White, Black, Red, Pewter. White is the rarest.

When I bought my Trans Am in 2002, the "NHRA package" came with emblems, chrome wheels, and a Hurst shifter.
I have the wheels and shifter, but mine isn't an "NHRA" car. Why? Because I saved like $300 by not getting the emblems.

The NHRA Special Edition is a rare factory & dealer installed option package (Option 1SH) and according to extensive research, it was added to only 119 Formula and Trans Am vehicles produced in the year 2000, 143 produced in 2001, and 534 produced in 2002.
The NHRA option added $1,070 - $1,095 to the sticker price and included (but not limited to) the following: Hurst manual 6-speed (3.42 ratio) or automatic transmission (3.23 ratio), power-steering cooling, P245/50ZR16 performance tires, and NHRA-specific badges & keychain.
