Ws9?
I believe the WS9 is simply the code for the conversion to the 'Trans Am' from the 'Formula' package.

WS7 is those who put a WS6 hood on their regular T/A out of respect for the true WS6 owners. The WS9 code is for the V8 T/A over the V6 Firebird (or something like that). Right after the WS9 code should be a WS6 code if its a true WS6.

actually my friend has an 82 ws7, and its exaclty the same as the ws6 except pontiac ran out of 4 wheel disk brakes so they called it the ws7 package, so its pretty much the same, but they are only in early 3rd gens i believe
