All WS6 owners check in here.
Hello everyone, i just received some info on my car and about the 2002 WS6 Build Numbers straight from ASC Corporate i thought i would share. Here is the information i was sent:
According to our records, yours is a pewter 2002 WS6 with T-tops and an automatic transmission. It was converted by ASC on May 13, 2002 and was our build number 8699.
The 2002 model year WS6 breakdown is:
12,517 "regular" (non-Collector Edition) WS6s built
10,888 T-Tops

Well gents I finally found out what number my car is out of the 839 M6/T-Top CETA that were built
It's #729 of 839
I've known my CE number since Dec 2006 and just got word on the M6/T-top number.
The car came off the GM line on March 22, 2002 and went straight to ASC. The CE conversion was complete on March 25, 2002 and then shipped back to GM on March 26, 2002.

I am in contact with a guy that can more than likely get the ASC numbers.
He is a very busy guy and I'll give him a call tomorrow to see if he has a problem with me giving him about 10 VIN numbers(the last 8 digits actually) at a time to get the ASC numbers.
PLEASE don't start PM'ing me YET, I'll post back up and let you know what he says and how we'll go about doing this.

As far as getting your ASC#, keep poking around, there are a few (mostly dead) ASC# threads and once in awhile someone chimes in w/ help finding them (like Z28/2002 above).

Thanks for the info on my dkm 97 vert. I knew it was rare when we bought it but did not know there were only 5 like it.
Car was owned locally by a lady since day one and appears to be completely stock.... but feels much faster than it should. It would blow the doors off of my 25th anniv car and probably hold it's own with my LT Firehawk with headers. Feels more like a LS-1 car should. only thing I can think of is it the trans went out and they put a converter in it- gears seem to be stock. It is hard to drive it without spinning tires but that may be that it still has the original 16's on it (soon to be changed).

just sumbled across this old thread but checkin in
98 white A4 ordered it in nov of 97 took till june 98 to get year of the strike, paid 26,000 for it sticker was 33k, they weren't sellin good in 97 so the dealer was happy to just turn it at invoice, they offered me 36k for it when it finally came in. couldn't do it, fell in love with the car as soon as i seen it. shoulda took it, but at that time they were hard to find it was the new style and the strike cause shortages with the WS6 models.
back to the car, 60,000 miles crane gold 1.8 rockers and a vinci "the boss" cam, (love this cam and rockers, they were made for each other, lol) aniv rims, few other basic mods

Considering the cars missing from CompNine's database, the actual numbers are probably ~40% higher.
