According to CompNine's database (which appears to be missing 74 MY 2000 WS6 coupes), there were 600 Bright Red WS6s w/ the A4 trans built in 2000.
My CETA 40k miles. Barn find. First pick is now I found her.
Driving by the yard and I saw the car for the first time. A few weeks later was able to check it out. What a mess. Was parked outdoors for years. Cleaned up supper nice. Runs like new.

That's wild, why was it parked with such low miles? Thanks for saving the car i would love to do something similar
it’s a funny story actually. Belonged to a retired teacher who’s pension was being garnished by revenue Canada for back taxes. He couldn’t afford to renew his license plates and the car sat in his driveway in a rural area, on a dirt side road. His house is tucked away out of site completely. One day a bylaw officer slithered by and saw the expired tags and forced him to move the car out of his driveway. In Canada you are not allowed to have your car sit in your driveway with expired plates. It’s like communist Russia up here. And I’m not kidding. So, he moved the car to this junk yard for storage and that’s where I saw it. Took me a few months to track the owner down to make the deal. The car cleaned up real well. I did full suspension, and will pick it up tomorrow from the exhaust shop after a full system install. Didn’t brave that one with out a welder and hoist. Love the car, and will keep it for a long time.
Picked up this beauty a few weeks ago. Traded pinks for it with my g/f's 2012 Ford Fusion Sport. I gave her my car as I just got a work vehicle, so this one will be my weekend/project.
Still have mine bought it in 2000 it was a 2000 with 8k miles on it now she just broke 40k lol.she sat in our garage thankfully from 2015 until Covid when I got the bug again, plus we had a little girl so i wanted to spend as much time with her as possible and now she’s 8 and loves riding in it with the tops off.

thanks for your time and feel free to PM me anytime.
very nice exhaust and congratulations on your beautiful new to you car. if you don’t mind, what brand of exhaust did you go with and and what resonators and headers? i’m considering doing the exhaust on my car sooner than later and would appreciate any insights you can share.

Looks good, and a nice find on a low mileage WS6 Trans Am. Some info in the below links.

Hey guys just found this thread by chance. I've only been here a little while and haven't dived in too deeply yet.
I have a 2000 WS6 Convertible that I picked up in May 2021. Bright Red with a black interior and top. It had 55k on it when I bought it. Very clean and almost completely original except for a Flowmaster cat back, a Vararam, the wheels and tires. I have the original wheels too.
I did a complete cooling system rebuild all hoses, belts, idler pullies and replaced a lot of bulbs especially the headlights.
We took the car on a 1000 mile round trip to the Lake George NY Adirondack Nationals in September and it handled the trip great. Comfortable and quick it was the best car I've ever taken there.
+1, I always had a soft spot for blue cars w/ tan interiors, very "nautical".
Of the 714 '02 WS6 M6 'verts in CompNine's database (vs. 1176 from another site), only 55 were NBM, only 40 had the Taupe top, and 43 had Taupe leather interior, Likely a very rare combination.
