Need an anwer... I'm usually on the truck performance section of this site, but I have a question that hopefully some of ya'll can shed some light on. I was browsing through here and was looking at the posts' and saw the 1LE... what is it? And how can you tell if you have it? I have a friend with a 94 t/a and he said that when he hooked the hypertech up it said somthing about the car being a special tuned, or packege???? I cant remember what he said? Was just wondering if the 1LE could be it or not??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Re: Need an anwer... So how can you tell other than looking at the suspension pieces you listed. Would it be in the vin? Also any sugg's on why the hpyertech read that when he plugged it in?
Re: Need an anwer... It was a suspension package. The one offered by SLP on the Firehawks and SS camaros had no weight reduction in them (unless the suspension parts were lighter) - they were not stripper models. You could get a fully optioned out TA with the 1le.

Re: Need an anwer... The factory 1LE option was available till the end of 1999. The might have had the option open for a couple of months in 2000, don't matter though as there were none built in 2000.
The 1LE option got you several things. It included the WS6 option and added things like larger sway bars, firmer bushings, Koni double adjustable shocks and a baffeled fuel tank{I think}. It also deleted things like the Monsoon sound system{you got a regular am/fm/cassete},power windows and locks,cruise and power seats. You could only get them without T-Tops. Although one at least was made with T-Tops, the guy that had it posted it on LS1.com for sale. Everybody{including me thought it was fake, until he posted pics of all the rpo codes}. It was a good one too! Hugger orange!!!!
They are cool cars, I wanted one and missed out on ordering one by only a few months{pissed me off!!!}BTW, they are pretty dern rare. They average around 20 or so per year.
