Default Blackbird ?

Ok so i found a supercharged stage 2 blackbird. im just thinking that maybe it might be better to send it back to gmmg and have the phase 2 package put back on it. right now its got 608rwp but im thinking with 2 other supercharged cars do i really need a 3rd. would i be better off getting it put back the way it was when it left gmmg or should i just keep it the way it is now?

I had a feeling you would find one. If it were me I would put it back to CMMG specs and sell the S/C. But it's up to you as it's your car. Ask yourself a question, "would I be happier if it were stock or modified?" There's your answer.

well im already gonna have 2 supercharged cars. seeing as how a phase 2 blackbird is really rare i think id like to have it how it was when they built it. gmmg spec and all. its still around 450 rwp.

i dont know man, 608 RWHP is hard to argue with. however, the reason you bought the car should answer this question. Fast, nasty all out beast ( which i prefer cars are made to be driven) or is it a show and drive once on a nice weekend car? all up to you brother. By the way how close to SD are you? id love to see that baby when i get back home.

im gettting it for the rarity factor and the fact that a factory car had 450 rwp. i still plan on driving it but its gonna seem slow either way next to a 722 rwp mecham so why not keep it how should be ya kniw? 500bhp and scary from the dealer. it was fast and nasty when it left gmmg so im thinking why not keep it that way

Seems like some of the current Blackbird owners had theres converted/upgraded to stage III. Did that decrease the value even though it was done at GMMG? That might be an option as well. Contact Ron or Mike from Vengeance and ask them what they think is probably your best bet. Hell, they built most if not all of those if I'm not mistaken.

^^^ the phase III will add stupid money to the value, but GMMG will charge stupid money to get it done.

GMMG always charged stupid money!! LOL!! It would be worth it though. Use the money from the SC to pay for part of it. If he's shipping the car from San Diego to Marietta GA...might as well make it worth while...that's a hike and a half!!

yea ga is a long way from so cal. sounds like im gonna have a d1 kit for sale soon. what all was in the phase III package? what color stripes where offered from gmmg? i was thinking gold to match the other 2 cars but want to keep the car correct ya know. from them ive only seen black,silver, and red

As far as I know there aren't any Phase III Blackbirds yet. I was priced around 27k for it when I had my Blackbird. I believe the pkg. was around 575 horse with a 427ci block. If you think about it; it's not a bad investment. A phase III Blackbird would be worth 80k or more.
