Default 97 SS question

Anyone know how many fully loaded Red 97 SS cars were made with the red and black leather seats were made? Can go either way on the tranny.

Allways wanted one and it would look great sitting next to the 83.

How much are these going for with super low miles and mint? What are the chances of finding one?

Seen some for 6-8k but with issues and miles.

Not in a position to buy just yet since I am closing on a house soon but starting to do my homework.

My fiance likes the aniv LT4 SS more but don't think I want to spend that kind of money hahaha.

There were 552 Red SS's in 1997 according to the sheets SLP mailed me back in 1997.

I'd say finding a low milage good, condition 1997 SS isnt too hard if you willing to travel to get one! I see them between 10k-15k average depending on milage and condition!

I would go with the LT4 if you can afford to. Ive seen some sell for around 32k with under 5000 miles. Good Luck to you with your search!

I just bought my 1996 Z28/SS this past weekend. I like the interior and everything with the 96 but the 97's are nice too. My step dad as a 30th Ann. Edition SS along with his 35th Ann. SS. Its not a LT4 though. He bought his a couple years ago with some minor issues, like white leather had cracks but no rips or anything and other minor things with I think around 80,000 miles on it. I forget for sure what he paid but I know if was under $12k. My SS that I just got was $10,000 before taxes and everything from a dealer although it was advertised for more. Mine is really clean, red with ebony/black leather, t-tops, A4, and has 70,9xx miles and I am pretty sure is is a fully optioned SLP car, I have to give SLP a call to know for sure, but there is a Bilstein sticker under the hood, so my guess is it is and the stance looks that way. I would say for a nice one you would be looking in the the $10k-$15k range, depending on how few of miles and everything. Hope that helps. Btw, your gf has good taste in the LT4.

Here are a couple dealer pics of mine. I'll wash and detail her and everything this weekend and get some of my own pics.
