nhra edition

i have a 2001 nhra edition trans am. does anyone have any performance info and how is it different than a normal trans am?? thanks AndreW

The differences are the decals, along with mandatory chrome wheels. I believe they were all automatics with 3.23 gearsets.

No, they weren't all autos. I have a friend with a M6 NHRA edition T/A. Stock gears on the M6 are 3.42. Other than badging and a Hurst shifter, his car is just another T/A.

Correct. They came in Formulas, T/A and WS.6's. The autos had 3.23 gears, the manuals of course had the 3.42. GSC tires, power steering cooler (but I think in '01 all T/A's came with it), Hurst shifter, and badging. That's really the only difference.

It's basically a comemorative edition car from Pontiac for NHRA. The RPO code is 1SH so it's easy to determine fakes.
