Found out the previous owner had some bad detonation and valve/piston clearance on the 2000 SS he sold me, so 2 pistons are scared from detonation and a few more from clearance, so If I am going to go through the trouble to change the pistons I figured might as well get a shortblock. I have Patriot Stage 2 5.3 heads with 59cc, and a Comp 232/240 .598 .608 113 LSA to go with it.
