If I were you I would give Speartech a call, they would be the quickest and best to answer this as they do tons of harness modifications to make things plug & play....

Best Advice: Leave California.

On a serious note: If I recall, the clusters are different on the '98s vs. '00-'02. I'm not too positive about the exact pins or wiring differences since I don't have a service manual in front of me.. But do you have the 2000 engine harness and PCM by any chance?

I'm not positive on every little discrepancy between the years, but I believe the BCM only controls the dummy lights on the cluster, the rest is PCM-controlled.

What exactly on the cluster is not working?

You may benefit from PM'ing CalEditor@PCMCalibrators. I do remember a few months back someone had an issue, but it only being the fuel gauge. I'm sure if you explain to him what issues you're having he may be able to set you up with a fix.

As for the EGR, you can find some info and diagrams through the forums. I would help you out instead of suggesting search but I've been up all night at work so my brains a bit fried. You may need some additional components or hoses if you don't currently have them, but everything can be found along with part numbers on the forum.

Good luck
