Default Battery with top and side posts....any benefit to using both?

So, my new Odyssey battery has top and side posts. Is there any benefit to doing something like alternator on tops and factory wiring on sides?

I'm going to tie into the battery side posts on my LM7-equipped 70 El Camino though I'm just getting started on wiring. My view is that you can never have enough grounds or sources of electrical power.

Having the extra connection points can be convenient for adding high power aftermarket accessories (like a big amp} but provides no benefit for factory wiring More is not better.

I use the tops for the main connections and the sides for all my stereo equipment
