Exclamation Horn on steering wheel not working

Has anyone had trouble with their horn going out? I recently have had one of the pitches go out on my horn, and then my buttons on my steering wheel stopped working... they work at ramdom times.... like your turning the wheel and it works for a split second.... please reply with possible solutions... Thanks in advance

Not necessarily, it just depends on how obvious the break in the wire is.

Just take apart your steering column and look for sharp bends in the wire up near the pivot point of the steering wheel. It SHOULD be pretty obvious.

Also, has anyone installed an alarm in your car recently, or done any other work around the steering column? If a store did, you might take it back in to them and explain the problem.
