Default TA Dash in a Camaro

I've been toying around the idea as to where to put my gauges and everything. My question is are the dashs interchangable? I do not care if the vents do not work, as the A/C, all the switchs for the a/c, etc.. are gone. I just want the circles for the vents so that I can mount the gauges. My next question is how do you mount the gauges in there exactly, what sizes do they have to be, and do they have plates to adapt a 2 1/16 gauge in there??

I have seen it done before but alot was done to make it fit. I have seen a few pictures of really nice looking guages 2 each vent (total of 4 in the center) in our cars and it looked better then the firebirds 3. As long as your ok with some custom fab work it will look great, thats what im doing.
