two subs one channel.
ok, i have a two channel amp and two subs. but i want to bridge the amp to get more power and hook it up to my two subs. the subs are 4 ohm as is the two channel amp. so can this be done? and by done i mean safely done. thanks.

more information is needed before anyone can give you an accurate answer. it all depends on the amp itself, though....if it can only handle a 2-ohm load in stereo, then you would not want to bridge it mono to a 2-ohm load, as you will be presenting each channel of the amp with a 1-ohm load, and can possibly fry the amp. now, if the amp is stable at a 1-ohm load in stereo, then yes, you can do that.....but most amps are not.
if your amp is only 2-ohm stable in stereo, then either lose one of the subs and bridge the amp mono to push a single sub, or just hook both subs up, one to each channel.
