It's the factory alarm. How can I get it out of vallet mode?

ok, I just read my owners manual and it said that if the hatch was open it would only chirp once. So I went out and checked the hatch and cloased it and it still only chirps once!!

Check to see if the doors are open first. Could be the hatch is not shut.

If they are all closed more then likely you have a bad pin switch in the door or hatch.

My girlfriend was talking about her car doing something like that. She said it had to do with if she locked the door from the lock button on the door as she was getting out. She said if she hit lock as she got out, then she would have to hit lock on the remote twice and it would get 1 honk. If she just got out, left it unlocked, then hit lock once, it would honk twice. I think it has to do with the alarm arming. Kind of strange, might want to see if it's something like that.
