Default Amplifier opinion

I would like to get some opinions regarding which Rockford amp to purchase, the Punch 2002 or the newer version of the Punch 45. The amp will be powering a pair of Boston Acoustics 6 1/2 inch components in my '99 T/A. I like the Punch 45, because of its reputation; but the other amp is a little more in my budget.(Paying back student loans sucks!!!!) Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for your opinions in advance.

the 2002 isnt a bad amp for the price, and would do the job on just your front components... so if money is the catch, the 2002 will work

I wouldbuy the punch 45 for the hif=ghs ...as they issue is clean power vrs less power ... I am ready for the flamng but in my 20+ years in the 12v industy I always believed the better amps goes up front .... A punch 45 is good for anything as you continue forward on your system So I would bite the bullet get the 45 and know I won't toss it when I upgrade again
