they dont make the 894 in the silverstars will the 893 fit? i believe its the trans am bulb but i have a camaro..........

The only difference between the 893 and 894 is that the 893 has a straight in connector whereas the 894 has a right angle connector. As long as you have enough clearance to plug the harness straight in from the back of the bulb they are completely interchangeable.

Old thread but right on my question, so without the tab to hold the bulb in place like the 894 has, what did you do to secure it? Replace the socket? Zip ties are a bit iffy in this situation...

I must be missing something. The 893 and 894 bulbs (just like the 880/881 original equipment bulbs that they replace) push into the socket and lock with a 1/4 turn clockwise. There is no need for anything additional to secure them. Do you have broken tabs on yours?
