the only one i know much about is the solo S2 by escort. its the same exact thing as the passport 8500, except for the cordless aspect.. works with AA batteries so that is the downside... other than that its a pretty badass detector..

Cordless units usually compromise a lot of performance. IMHO the Escort Solo S2 is about the only one out there worth buying. But, if that one is too much $$$ and you need a budget unit, maybe the Whistler 1788 would be OK, as long as you're not a chronic speeder or don't go too far over the limit.

Cordless = Less range = ticket. Buy a V1, hardwire it, and run the wire down the a-pillar. Everyone that gets in my car asks if mine is cordless and it works amazing!

I had the Solo. Got a ticket and the thing never went off. The battery was about a month old. He was using radar. Sold it on ebay and got a V1. Do what Howell said.

I used the keyed power feed for the radio. Just pull the head unit and probe key-on-off for the feed. Do not recall the color for the power feed.

As for detector I am running Escort 8500 with remote cancel switch, works great.

U Can Feed Off Either The Radio Or The Spare Slot In The Fuse Panel Personally Id Use The Radio.. You Can Buy A Harness And Reverse Harness From Bestbuy And Do The Soidering Work Inside Your House Then Just Plug It All Together Thats Basically What I Did Except I Just Knocked It Out The Same Time I Did My Cd Player Install...

Should be something, Just grab a test light and probe the wires there in the harness for a keyed source. Sorry thats about all I can say, dont now of a specific wire color or size.

Forget the cordless go with the K40 RD850. It is the best one on the market. Besides K40 makes all the radar and laser guns for the police so they know what to block.
