Default 5v power source in the car?

I thinks this qualifies as electronic. Anywho, is there a +5v source in our f-bodies? Preferebly near the trunk ?

I don't think you will find any 5V sources anywhere but under the hood. Sensors like the TPS are typically powered by 5V. Keep in mind the power supply capability of the PCM is intended for operating a sensor, they might be able to supply 100-200mA.

a zener diode would knock down 12v to 4.7V (common one) i believe you can get others as well.
would have to be a signal not a power source tho. small currents
