Default 12" sub box

I'm going to make my own box for the trunk of my F-Body and I was wondering does anyone have any box designs/ideas?

I have a 8" high by 19" long space with about maybe 13" wide. The very bottom of my trunk.

I was thinking of just making a square custom box with the amp next to it maybe mounted on the box and then putting plexiglass over the whole thing making my trunk flat and protecting the sub and amp.

Do I need to make holes or anthing to relieve pressure or can I just leave it a solid square with the plexiglass over it?

Thanx.

oh yeah and does dynamat really work? or is there even a stop to trunk rattle?

dynomat does work but needs to be placed in right spots. I would recommend holes in plexiglass other wise its going to be a bandpass box and even them have holes

Just buy the pre-fab box from q-logic for around $200.00 and it looks great, built for 2 12's and mine hammers.

anyone have dimensions for the hatch well, I was considering doing a band pass box. But I thought it might be nice to angle the sides of the box to meet the sides of the hatch well.

Cld069, what are the dimensions of your box, and the dimensions of the top on the box?
