Default stock alarm problem...

My stock alarm on my 00 Z28 started acting up the other day...when I remote lock the doors it honks once instead of the two usual and the dash light doesn't flash. I got in and tested it by trying to open the door from the inside with the alarm set and it is dead. Fuses are good, any ideas or other areas to look at? Thank you in advance

Like 2001NBMZ28 said, check the hatch.
Open and re-close it.

Yeah, thats what my first instinct was, but after opening and shutting it numerous times I had no luck. I thought the doors wont lock if the hatch is slightly open still?

If you've already opened and closed both doors and hatch, but are still experiencing the problem, then a door switch/sensor on either a door or the hatch has failed or is justs too dirty or the wires leading to/from a sensor are damaged or loose.
