Default Need to Replace Monsoon Passenger Door Speaker

Does this take on OEM replacement, or will any 6.5" speaker work?

THANKS!

A little searching will come up with an amazing amount of information since this subject has been discussed hundreds (if not thousands) of times. The Monsoon FAQ sticky at the top of the forum will give you a lot of background information plus links to a couple of speaker replacement threads.

I read the Monsson FAQ and it didn't seem to cover my issue.

Is there an exact OEM door speaker (6.5") that is needed to fit in the door panel and work properly?

I'd prefer to get some cheap aftermarket since it's only 1 of 8 speakers.

The OEM speaker is 9361859 (right) or 9361869 (left). There are no other OEM speakers that can be used as replacements.

I'm sure Kee Audio sent you an aftermarket speaker option via PM that has the proper coaxially-mounted components necessary to match the Camaro setup. Otherwise, the method for modifying standard coaxial speakers is detailed in the Camaro Replacement Speakers thread that is linked in the Monsoon FAQ sticky.

If you want some really cheapo speakers I can get those as well but you probably wouldn't be as happy with the sound quality. I can get you some even cheaper ones for $39.00 plus shipping for the pair. They have an exposed capacitor on the back where the tweeter hooks up so they would work in your Camaro. Don't expect awesome sound quality or anything though. They will sound ok but nothing spectacular. Just a replacement that would wire up properly. Let me know if this works better for you!! I try to keep something in stock for every budget!
