Default Factory 12-Disc CD Player

OK, so the 2002 Camaro I just bought has a factory 12-disc CD player in the trunk. I put a freshly burned CD in it and I got an error message. However, this same CD plays just fine in the single disc deck in the cab. Also, as an experiment, I threw a commercial CD in the 12-disc player and it worked just great. Do these players just not like burned CDs or was my CD just crap?

Also, I tried 1 freshly burned CD and a couple older burned CDs and I got the error.

I have not had any trouble playing burned CDs in my 12 disc changer. Maybe try a different brand or quality of burnable CD?

I had this problem too, I had the cd in upside down. But sometimes they can't be read.

Yeah, turn the Cds around. When it's in the holder, the label side should be facing DOWN.

No, I have the CDs in correctly (I did that wrong at first). But, like I said, it played a commercial CD. I'm going to go and get some good quality CDs and burn them nice and slow and see what happens.

You should have no problems using burned CDs in the changer if you use quality discs and burn at between 8x and 12x regardless of how fast your recorder can go.

Use those then. Memorex CD-Rs. I've never had one NOT play in the factory changer. And I burned them all at like 48x
