Speaker Wiring Help?!
OK so I'm not the best when it comes to audio, wiring, etc.
Read that the infinity Reference Speakers were a direct replacement for the door Speakers, So i ended up getting a pair at a good deal. (yes, already know they aren't the best, but i needed to replace my blown factory speakers)
Anyways, as you can tell in the pictures i attached, both have different connections. I dont want to connect anything wrong but how the heck do you connect the 4 wires to the new Infinity speakers? I read a post as far as directions, but he was talking about blue/light blue wires, etc. I only have black and red wires. Two red, two black....
Thanks for the help...sorry for the stupid question. Just don't want to blow the new speakers.

One pair of those wires goes to the tweeter and the other to the driver.
Black...Left Tweeter +
Yellow...Left Tweeter -
Dark Blue...Left Mid +
Light Blue...Left Mid -
Light Green...Right Tweeter +
Purple...Right Tweeter -
Orange...Right Mid +
Dark Green...Right Mid -
You have to clip/cut the tweeter wires on the new speaker and attach them to the stock tweeter wires on the connector.

Thanks for the help Kee Audio....actually was looking on your site for some woofers as well for the sail panels...might get a pair next month.
One last stupid question....
I take it the two copper wires that go kinda through the cone of the speaker are the ones I cut and wire up for the tweeter?

NOOOOO!! LOL!! That is the same set of wires but you want the ones that are in the 1st and second (close up) picture taped to the side of the magnet. Those are your Infinity tweeter wires. Cut them at the leads right where you'd hook them up (where the solder is) and attach them to the stock wires for the connector. If you cut them where the cone is you'd run into all kinds of problems.
