Default A little fun tonight...

Ok so my buddy works at a store in town and anytime a decent car comes in, he gives them my number so we can race. Tonight we finally are able to get a decent crowd together but I mainly wanted a peice of a Evo that has been talking mad ****. Most of the other I was just trying to put them in thier place and it wasnt even a race really. The first time the Evo REFUSED to have a camera guy in his car even though hes AWD and its like 35 degress here in Chicago. So he obviously gets the jump of about 2 cars but I'm reeling him in pretty quick...and he misses a gear as I'm at his door. Second race I didnt have anyone in my car and the begining was the same...maybe worse. He jumped out pretty far but this time I didnt real him in as fast and as I was coming up he missed another gear Seemed to have missed it early on so I assume it was second but hes not the best driver. After this race the cops came I guess but I was done for the night anyway. I can post up the vids but the camera guy is technologically retarded so they're not the best. Still gives the outcome though. Among the others were:

-Me: mods in sig
-Evo: cant remember everything but manual, exhaust, intake, tune, gears, and some sort of wastegate that recirculates the air causing more boost
-Lt1: auto, exhaust, shiftkit, intake(pretty stout for an lt1)
-'71 Chevelle: fully restored, built 454 with cam, gear/posi, slicks
-Dakota: exhaust, intake, shiftkit, stall
-and some *** is a jeep cherokee that says he "beats everyone"

All in all, those Evo's are stout little cars. I was really afraid he was gonna get me good, but I think if we went to the track I would take him by at least a car. Seems like there is always something wrong with his car though, or he just makes up excuses.

Oh and a turbo Saturn with a freaking Autozone motor pushing 8-10 lbs of boost and supporting mods I'm guessing. He thought I had a "SS" T/A

SS T/A huh? That's funny. Man there was a guy here just last night in what looked and sounded like an n/a saturn four door with absolutely nothing done to it revving his little rat-trap up at me last night. What's funny is that when I pulled up next to him and he revved, my girlfriend rolls down the window, points at him, and busts out laughing. Like a real, jolly *** laugh, ya know? It made me feel good. Good kills btw

Nice runs! That's quite a list of cars too. Sounds like the Evo driver might have a failing synchro in the transmission. It's annoying. It locks you out of a gear at high RPM and no amount of double clutching in the world will let you in. The '03 synchros were notoriously prone during the 1st to 2nd shift. You can't slam the gears on those cars like you can on Camaros and Corvettes. Different kind of transmission.

Sorry guys but I ALSO forgot to mention that I'm under the influence that I have valve float. When I got the tune for the converter, the power graph just kind of flat-lined at about 5300-5500 rpms and my MPH is pretty low for what it ET's. Just no topend.

****!!!!!! I thought you were reffering to when I thought the Mach1 just had one cam in that other thread and the mustang guys burned me for not knowing. I totally missed that I put cam(s) plural for the Chevelle. I need my threads proof read!

Fixed it!

missing second is kinda like stabbing yourself in the face trying to put a fork in your mouth.

First race(you can see/hear where he misses a gear...just as I'm coming up to the door):

Second race(IDK what happened to him in this one):
