Default weekend kills

Legal street drags on 1/8th.mi.track...kills from 9/26..friday night.

67 olds 442 w/built 455 and a 12 bolt...won by a foot.

90 Iroc-Z... won by 10 car lengths

86 Mustang GT...won by a car length

85 Vette w/built LT1...won by a foot

70 Chevelle w/built 350...won by 2 car lengths

69 Mach1 w/built 351...won by half of a car length

I kicked some serious *** on friday night and walked away with 1st. place,i took it to the old school racers.

Comments i heard after the race while getting trophys.

"Who drives that car" "It's so smooth" "What a beautiful car" "Is that stock" "sounds different,so high pitched and raspy" "That car is fast" "can i sit in it"

Thanks guys,i had the time of my life.

The 442 was pretty badass,i had lost to the 442 a few weeks ago.It was my first race and i got him on a hole shot, didn't spin my tires at all,i can't believe i won that race.

The Iroc was a very sweet looking car(white)lowered, but was not very fast.I'll let you know when i post some pics.

wohoo ... my boy prays to the 442 gods, and WILL NOT accept that they are not the fastest cars in the world ... I think I will show him this thread.

Nice kills.

Well done.

That's more races than I've had in the 2 years I've owned my T/A. I'd have a w**dy for weeks after a night like that.

You could be right on the 85 not being an LT1.I will admit i don't know that much about mid eighties vettes...I looked at the motor when the hood was up and it looked like an LT1,does the L98 look like an LT1,it had fuel injection on it.I was so nervous the whole night is now a blur.

The guy in the vette gave me a huge compliment,he said to me after the race..."when your car hit second gear i could not pull on you"

I was simply out driving everyone that night,i was getting them on hole shots and NOT spinning my tires at all, hooking up is the key.I got really pumped after my first race against the 442.

We have one last race this friday night, there are usually about 35 cars racing out there..old school for the most part.My best time was 8.187,no sixty foot times and we race using a sportsman tree...go on the third yellow.

They do look a lot alike. THe Corvette L98 of that year was FI as well. It definitely could have been an L98, since the LT1 is more or less and evolved version of that motor. Nice kills!
