Default Fox body kill

Well a local guy around here i finally decided to run last night. he has a fox body mustang (i think a 90 or so). has upper and lower intake, full exhaust, msd ignition and a mild cam, and stock heads. my car has mods in sig. well his trans is a little messed up, so he cant start in second. so we get on the highway and slow down to bout 45 and he was in third. we honked 3 times and then i let him get the jump on me, well by 90mph i was next to him and by 130mph i was ahead by 2 or so cars. then the second run we started at 50 and we both punched at the same time and i started to pull on him and by 110 when i let off i was 4 cars ahead. same outcome on the third race except i was ahead by 2 1/2 or 3 cars. i thought it wasn't bad. i was def happy with the first race when i let him get ahead by 2 cars before i punched it. the funny thing is all his buddy's were telling me his car would kick my ***. well now they cant say anything because my car is def faster. i will say he gave a good run, but a win is a win. and me winning 3 out of 3 that tells me my car is def faster than his. let me know what ya think.

Nice Kill! Do you know about any of his mods? Cuz if he was stock you probably wouldve handed it to him much worse with your mods.

Good kill! Those cars were much stronger up top than their TPI competition, but they aren't as strong as an LT1 up top without decent modification. His best bet would be to get some slicks and try to take you out from a dig, which would not be easy against a modded auto LT1.

Those definitely seem like the results I would expect. When my LT1 was stock (2.73 geared car) I raced by buddy who has a 1993 notch, with a mild cam, full exhaust, and upper intake with MT drag radials. From a highway roll I edged him out, but from a dig he pulled out on me and just kept going, winning my a couple cars in the 1/4 mile. With your decent set of mods I would imagine it'll take a heads/cam 5.0 to make you worry.

Yeh when i first pulled up i was a little scared cause he was purging nitrous and i was like well i might lose if he is spraying. but after i won all three runs, he had me fooled it was just a purge kit. cause we didnt look under the hoods, we just went for it. But thanks for the input guys. yeh i know some of those fox bodys can be nasty. like there is one that runs around that runs a huge turbo. and its nasty like it would waste me once it hit boost.

Nice kill, man. I love LT1/Foxbody races, especially motor to motor!
