2010 vs ls-won
I read somewhere that a stock ta back in 02 without the limiter could hit low 170's in a long oval track.I'll try and look for it.I think it was one of the magazines like motor trend or road n track or something. The high 11 at 109 I think can be done but your car would have to be light as a feather and really rip outta the hole.I believe he simply made a mistake trying to remember his times.I've done that before lol .As for 175mph.It could have felt like it but not likely.I had a race with a carrera and took it well beyond the 155 speedo and it was still reving up higher and higher.I was running my camaro on a 150 shot though. It felt like about 170
I ran a G8 GTP from 55 mph and only pulled 3 cars maybe 4, he ran 8.60's at the track and i run 7.69@88 all day long. He also had a passenger, his car is heavier and i was alone in my car. Would have been a little closer if he was by him self. my car only made 329 rwhp before stall and gear, so I'd say i believe him. Soon as i get time slips from Memphis I will post them. My car weigh 3,660 race weight, i weigh 220. key4 brother was the passenger and weigh's about 253 and the driver looks like about 10 pounds less of that, but who knows.

I think it can happen in a street car. 340 rwhp through a stalled a4 should be somewhere around 380 through a m6. I think a m6 stripper making 380 rwhp @ 3,400 race weight and a hell of a 60ft. 1.50's maybe can go 11.39ish. But i can be wrong about that m6 thing, but i know for sure if my car weighed in at 3,400 race weight with 340rwhp through my stalled a4, i would most likely dip in the 11.40's low .30's high. My best 1.56 60ft. would help contribute to that. My car only makes about 304rwhp. 175 mph he must have a vette

Those are bench racing words. I'm giving my opinion based upon 11 years of LSx experience.
I go to the track and race, thats experience. Plus I been doing this more than 2 times longer than u, LSx, Mopar whatever. That does not say that i'm right or know more than u. It just says that i know a thing or 2. I know what my car would do, and thats not "I think"..."Maybe"..."Would most likely". I was just giving my opinion based on what i have seen.
Well, next time you go...start racing LSx vehicles so you gain some
knowledge and experience with these cars. Have you even run a low
11 with a LSx vehicle? Bench racing sucks. This is a tech site. Post facts.
Woulda, shoulda, coulda doesn't mean anything.
If that's the case, you should know that I'm right. However, don't ***ume
that 11 years of LSx experience means that's all the racing experience I have.
You don't know what your car will do until it runs the number, period.

Thats 90% of what i run against, plus I own 2 LSx vehicles. NO i haven't been low 11's yet with a LSx but I will very soon. I go to the track and race ON THE TRACK, Bench racing does suck.

Street cars go low 11's all day without being gutted out or Dyno Queens

Racing someone at WOT in 4th gear using an A4... wouldn't do it
A4 is strong, but I wouldn't put 4th gear through that, I'm pretty sure 4th gear is mainly for improved MPG. But hey I could be wrong, I have been in the past.

I don't don't understand what is so unbelievable about this thread to most on here esp. considering some that have been here for so long. There are multiple bolt-on stalled a4 ls1's running in the high 11/low 12 second category. A guy on here by JONCR96z ran 11.7@113 with just bolt ons and he doesn't even have headers!!!
Anyways roll racing can only be compared to the cars 1/4 mile trap speed not e/t. e/t is effected by 60' way too much to compare two cars unless they have the same 60' time. His car trapped 113 all motor, the new 2010 SS has been trapping like 109-111. Therefore, even though the OP car will rape in new SS in the 1/4 mile dig race, because the the difference the 60 foot, from a roll the cars are damn near even. I think the story is true but the 175 mph statement probably is a little stretched. more like 165-170.
Here is a perfect example: My car is an 3.23 geared a4 that runs 12.8@108 2000DA w/ 2.0 60'. I raced a z28 with no name 4400 stall and a no name cam with 4.10's which he claimed ran 12.0 at 109. We ran from 50-120 three times with the same result of me winning by a half of car. He would pull a 1/2 car instantly then I would start to pull up top. He did have his t tops off though.
Just some word for thought.
