Is completely convinced that his catback/lid m6 c5 is going to walk all over my camaro.

He constantly disses F bodies, and thinks his vette has 400 crank hp.

What do you guys think?

his c5 m6- catback- I don't believe he has headers, and a lid+filter. otherwise stock.

My car m6- ms3 cam, tune, ls6 intake, 4.10 gears, lid, full TD exhaust/longtubes, 315's/275's....

I also have stano springs/bars, and konis (irrelevant though)

I cannot wait to blow his doors off... hopefully.

You should destroy him. When I raced a C6 with an exhaust in my 233/239 cammed SS I had to let off while playing with him to avoid rear ending him. Upper 3rd and into 4th is where the difference was really noticeable.

the vettes only run a few tenths quicker plus you have a cam and some boltons you shoud be around 400rwhp.
you should kill him.

 

he will be a little lighter then you but you have basically the same motor so as long as you can drive you will have no problem beating him. i mean you have a cam and probably better tires then him.

a pre 2001 c5 was not much faster then the camaro. remember the camaros motor was under rated even though it was the same.

 

realistically, he shouldn't stand a chance. Don't **** up your driving and it should be easy.

 

FWIW my 99 C5 with ONLY a catback and "lid" trapped 115. If he's claiming 400 hp you sure it's not a Z06? I think you should have him covered but don't get too cocky, could be closer than you think!

 

+1 on crowded parking lot.
also, narrow roads in residential areas right next to schools are perfect places for drag races. maybe you can get a little kid to flag the race and one standing at the edge of the road 1/4 mile away to confirm the winning margin.
if you have them line the streets, you might be able to save your paint if you get a little squirrely down the road.

 

i prefer racing through elementry school parking lots while the busses pick up the kids.

also a good place for a drag race is a 2 lane road while the school bus has its lights on, and picking up/dropping off kids winner goes past the bus, the loser *** packs it. no doubt on the winner there.
