lt1 vs 02 stang
I would call it a driver / tire race. What type of tire is on the Stang and WS6? From a dig, this will matter. Tires being even, I would give the advantage off the line to the WS6; being that it's an auto and has steeper gears. From a roll, it can go either way, both cars are practically stock. Just line'em up. I wouldn't be surprised if you win, or he does.

Sorry to say, but a stock LT1 is a turd. It has a lot of potential that is burried by factory restrictions, but that GT will give it a run if the driver doesn't suck a dong. Just like the LT1, the 2V from the factory isn't much to look at, but has potential, don't be surprised if one wastes you.

Who knows, I might even own one after college. Need a reliable cruiser (likely won't do much more than gears/full bolt-ons) that I can have some fun with at the same time. We'll see how the new 2011 Mustang GT's drive when I get my chance to test drive one and compare it with my initial opinions of the 2010 SS.
And LT1 with 3.73's and a flowmaster muffler, I'd honestly say high 13's/low 14's depending on tires. Stock LT1's are turds before gears/stall/full-bolt ons (believe me, I'd know)

Stopsign32v you showed two race cars that were probably trailered to the track! We're talking about street cars racing here! I'm sure I could I could find LS1's on youtube serving a can of whip *** on 2v and 4v!

02 wife & '94Z28MachThis', sorry to say, if you are bashing 2V's this hard, then you haven't run into one that will give you a run for your money. Your average 2V driver is some turd that doesn't know what they are doing, but run into one that does, and has the right mods, and you'll be pleasantly surprised. I've personally pulled a few LT1's in a stock 2000 GT auto. Blame it on driver, blame it on whatever...an LT1 isn't >>>> a PI motor. IMO, they are equal, pending mods / driver.
