Default Killed my first Mustang!

Driving home from work I saw what looked like a 08 GT. All the new edges look the same to me, but it had a hood scoop. It also had a blacked out rear panel (dunno if that means anything), deep dish TT2's, and a catback at least, it was pretty loud. Of course I had to give chase.

When the van between us got out of the way I moved up towards him and he got over and we both slowed down. He rolled down his window and asked what was done to mine, I said stock (pretty much is.) and then he downshifted and took off ahead of me towards the on ramp. I was going that way anyway, right?

So we finally get to a clear stretch and pull up side by side, and dear god is this thing loud. He looked over and yelled "Gears and catback!" So I replied with "40 roll."

So the first run, I honk off and I immediately learn something about gear selection. I start in third and on the third honk he jumps a little, towards the top of third I'm reeling him in. I shut down around 115 and I've got probably 1 1/2 cars on him. We slow down and he immediately yells "again, 45 roll."

Of course I can't say no, and we're still going the way I need to be going anyway.

So from a 45 I decide to give 2nd a shot and I'm hovering right around 4k. He honks it off this time. Just for the record my 3.42's love 2nd at 45. His front end immediately falls to my door and I keep pulling. By 120 I've got a good 2 cars on him. He throws on his blinker and pulls in behind me, so I shut down and throw it in 6th at 70.

After about 30 seconds I hear him downshift and he runs out beside me and gives me a nice ricer flyby. I giggle and turn the radio back up.

Like I said, I'm pretty much stock. New wide ovals, short stick, and SLP lid. He never said what gears he had, but his shifts were close, maybe 4.10's.

Anyway, it was a blast. Flame on!

Edit: Dual/Dual catback, not that it makes much difference.

Nice kill. Too bad he had to go and pull a flyby.

Idk why but most the stangs I've raced hardly got anything done to them. I do know the stangs that do hav nice mods and there are 3 for certain that would mop the floor. One has a very aggresive cam and another has a nice procharger on it. The third has a mix of both! That's ridiculous!
