Talking Rx8 Kill

Im driving home from work at like 3:30 am sunday morning and an RX-8 passes me on hwy-6. He was going like 65 mph, so as i go to catch up with him, i get to the back of his driver door and he hits it. He pulled a little, until i hit it and pulled 1-1 1/2 lengths on him. I continued to pull until I shut it down at about 100-105mph. He pulled up to the next light and gave the thumbs up. He told me i had a badass car and I told him the same. Those RX-8's are sweet looking cars.

They do look cool. Good kill. I think they should have made them a high 13 sec. car instead of a high 14 sec car

They def do look nice, but any Rotary needs F/I to quench their thirst for torque...

I never liked the way they looked until a kid pulled up next to me in his red one with temp tags, they are very nice looking. I don't like the way the headlights are that much though

Do not get me wrong I absolutely love the way they look. I wish the Chevelle would come out (a Camaro for bigger folks) and have those suicide doors.

yeah high 14s..like the older mustangs..

Mazda opted to get good milage, reliability ect ect out o fit. it's the perfect auto X car.

they didn't want it to overshadow the rx-7 which will be back.

I heard the rx8 loses a ton of power if you choose auto over manual tranny.

RX-7 is gonna be pretty nasty.. I'm hearing 300+hp rumblings which makes me very happy, I'd definitely consider owning a next gen RX-7

Rx8's are pretty sweet looking cars but wow are they slow. Waaay tooo damn slow for me. I test drove one and they feel nothing close to an LS1 My 4 Cylinder RSX Type-S I used to have with 200 HP pulled on one of them... I can't imagine what my SS would do against one of them. It wouldn't even be funny I know that much

a modded anything can pull on anything, but if you're talking stock, then hell no.

yeah they "lose a ton of power" with auto..because it's a very low torque engine.

i don't imagine you can rev the auto to 8k like the manual.

oh by the way i read about a 3-rotor rx-8 with a t-80 turbo. it was making like 800fwhp.

It's a shame that Mazda had so many turbo RX-7s go boom. Turbos and Rotarys are very hard to get to work together smoothly. Extremely hard to keep from running lean and probably the reason that the RX-8 is not a turbo.
