Default 00 Formula vs 01 Cobra

First off this is NOT a pick on mustang/cobra thread...
So me and my cousin have this sort of fun filled rivalry his car is a 02 cobra mods: dss or something like that motor with the stock cobra heads and intake as well as cam.. Bottom end is supposed to support up to 800hp so he says but I don't know so don't quote me on this. Also he has full exhaust and a Borla catback wich sounds amazing and some nitto dr's! He has a few other mods but nothing crazy.
My mods are in sig minus the nitrous and ls6 intake which I did not have put on yet!
So he always tells me (even still) that my car is slow...12.9 is not fast so I agree but I always said my car is slow but it's faster then yours! Long story short...
We start from a dig I pull about 3 cars on him by the 1/8(guesstimate) and by the end i'm about 4 to 5 on him! We did that about a 3 times!
He says let's go for a roll.... I'm thinking a4 is goona let me down on this one!
We start at 35 he honks and he gets about a half a car till I get up in 2nd and then it was even till my car hits 3rd where I pull about a car or so!
Then once more we do a 50 roll!
He honks and gets about a nose and then it was over from there and I pull another car on him to end it!
Needless to say he was pissed! Later that year we raced again at Byron and he lost by even more but he mentioned his linkage was bad and his tires were bald and he had a full tank and so on wich I just say ok if you say so haha!
He is not half bad at racing but car prolly could have used a new driver for better results! Twas fun either way and he is buying a Procharger woch he assures me he will dominate but I have nitrous waiting for him so the battle will continue haha! Hope you enjoyed this hella long story and please leave comments about spelling and grammar to yourselves! This was done off my phone so it's not so easy to correct!

Yeah he may disown me afterwards haha... It will be interesting to see his car supercharged tho! I just hope he does not give up and just leave it how it is now... Otherwise I'll be stuck trying to catch up to my buddy running 11.1s and prolly 10.9 this year... Damn his camaro haha

Nice kill! My brother's 99 Cobra with a JLT CAI, shorty headers-full exhaust, 4.11s and DR's ran a 12.9something with no back seat and a solid rear axle, so your car did good.

Haha he went out and bought a new clutch as well So he was really convinced that the car was not performing as it should have but still has not beat me yet lol gotta love friendly rivalry! And also he's a got a straight axle to but I thought they came with them so who knows... He said the previous owner had 4.10 gears in as well and judging by how quick often his shifts are I would agree! The car does look sweet and sounds soooo good.... Alot of people around town would agree with me on that one!

Good kill. Despite compression ratio you probably would have taken him with your mods. However if he has a built block that has a CR built for boost it's going to make it even worse for him running N/A. It won't be pretty when he gets that Procharger on and he can turn the boost up without fear of breaking the motor.

Nice kill, I raced my old 99 cobra at the track and the guy beats me by like .1 every time cuz that thing can launch, but on the street I put 4-5 cars on him easily.

Im hoping he does go through with the supercharger... I wanna see that beast rip the tires off but with a cam 100 shot and stall I should have no problem keeping up... Well at least from a dig. Once the rear goes a 9in with a 3.23 gear should sustain well and also the th350 I'll be getting should do work on him! I don't want to let him kick my *** since he does none of the work himself and I do all mine (aside from tunning)..

3.23 gears? Why?? go with a 3.73 gear at least! And keep that A4, you don't need to waste your money and time on a Turbo 350: the 4L60E is a turbo 350 with an overdrive gear: what do you plan on gaining?

The level 10 STOCK 5.0 pos block costs $762. And their level 20 still total pos STOCK 5.0 block costs $1,128. And they claim these are "blower, turbo, nitrous ready" But they don't care to tell you that your $1,128 race prepped block will be a pile of **** @ around 500rwhp.

That company is a joke and the only reason it is still around is because of idiots that buy into **** scams like that.

Are you ******* serious? 500rwhp? I was under the impression that the CNC Race Prepped 20 series was indestructible and the 10 was good to at LEAST 650ish. Damn, that is sad.
